But while staying indoors does wonders in itself to prevent the disease’s spread, an even better way to step up your defense against the virus is to minimize any and all physical contact. Enter McDonalds’ no-touch delivery, available within Metro Manila, which ensures your food is kept clean and safe throughout the delivery process.

From the stores, their crew’s hands and McDelivery backpacks are sanitized and takeout bags are sealed. The riders’ temperatures are checked, their hands are regularly washed, and they make sure to wear face masks whenever they deliver.

Once it arrives at your doorstep, the riders will ask you to specify a spot where they’ll be placing the McDelivery backpacks containing your food while they stand 10 steps back. You are to open the backpack and check if your order is complete, then—if you hadn’t opted for online payment—place your payment in the provided pouch. Step back, let the rider know they can get the backpack back, and enjoy your food in the comfort of your own home.
