The Philippines has done it again! Maureen Montagne has been crowned the winner of the Miss Globe 2021 pageant in Tirana, Albania.
The 28-year-old beauty queen's triumph marks the country's second Miss Globe title following Ann Colis in 2015. She's also the third Binibining Pilipinas titleholder to take home the the grand prize this year—the first two being Miss Aura International 2021 Alexandra Faith Garcia and Miss Intercontinental 2021 Cinderella Faye Obeñita.
Next to her jaw-dropping performance at the swimsuit portion, one of Maureen's most impressive onstage moments yet was definitely the question & answer portion. Miss Globe 2019 Alejandra Díaz de León of Mexico asked the Filipino-American whether beauty has merit, and Maureen absolutely nailed it with her response.

Question: Do you think beauty is a merit? And how can we enrich it with other values?
Answer: "I think that true beauty comes from within. To be a Miss Globe is to be a beauty that inspires. What makes us beautiful is our smiles, it's what we do for our community, it's how we give back to others, and it's how we carry ourselves through life. I believe that everyone has beauty inside of them and I believe it is our duty to share it with the world and to give back and to truly inspire others. Thank you."
Maureen bested more than 40 other beauty queens for the Miss Globe crown. Esther Gabriel of Nigeria finished as first runner-up in the competition, followed by Melike Bali of Turkey, Jhosskaren Carrizo Smiler of Venezuela, and Hailey Hamelin of Canada.
