One of the activities Maja Salvador has been missing during the pandemic is traveling with her boyfriend Rambo Nuñez. In an exclusive Zoom interview with PEP.ph last Monday, March 15, the actress reminisced on her favorite travels and talked about her dream destination, the region of Cappadocia in Turkey.
The 32-year-old actress said, "Gusto ko po mag-Turkey... Parang ang dreamy niya. Yun pang pag nandun ka feeling ko parang nasa panaginip ako, nasa dream ako, ganun."
She went on to recall her fondest travel memories and wished she could go back to Cuba. And if she could, she'd bring her family along this time around. She said, "Baka with family naman."
When asked what she loved about the Caribbean country during her visit, Maja said, "Yung mga old school na kotse, old cars, mga 19650s pa ata yun. Ang ganda, promise. Saka yung inaayos talaga nila.
More than anything, Maja enjoyed the food and drinks from Cuba. She said, "Siyempre, yung food nila, yung mga mojitos nila. E, parehas kami ni Rambo na foodie, and, of course, meron din siyang mga restobars. So nag-ikot din talaga kami dun and masarap yung mga drinks nila."
Maja said her European tour was also quite memorable, particularly her sightseeing tour of the Matterhorn Mountain, a ski paradise in the Alps and Switzerland popularly known as the Toblerone mountain. She recalled, "Nakita ko yung Toblerone."
A dancer, Maja said she did not try to learn how to ski, fearing she might break a bone in her body.
Talking about the beaches she's been to in other parts of the world, Maja said the Maldives is a favorite. However, for her, nothing still beats the Philippine seascapes.
Her favorite beach destination?
Sad."
