TV personality Maine Mendoza was reportedly in Singapore, as shared by fans who got to meet the Eat Bulaga host in person. The experience, however, was not a pleasant one, according to Maine herself who swiftly shared her side of the story on Twitter.
A Filipino who met the actress posted on Facebook saying Maine was “suplada” in person and that she was “disappointed.” This was coupled with a photo of her smiling with the celebrity. The post was shared by another netizen on Twitter, instantly drawing comments from fans who defended the star. The Facebook post has since been unavailable but screenshots have been taken.

The thread drew the attention of Maine who said her encounter with the sales associates was the “worst experience” with fellow Filipinos from abroad, "Oh if you only know how disrespectful and entitled those ladies were, especially the sales associate, ay maloloka ka nalang talaga."
Maine further says that if she came off as “supladita” it was because the sales associate and her co-workers treated her rudely. "Bastos si SA and that group of girls. Bastos at makakapal ang mukha."
Netizens have responded to Maine’s tweet coming to her defense, with many mentioning she should raise the concern with the retail store’s management.
The netizen who started the Twitter thread, however, has also been clarifying that the girl in the said photo is not the sales associate and is in fact someone else. This comment has not been confirmed by Maine who had been referring to her experience with a group of sales associates in Ngee Ann Mall.
