Most adventurous travelers know that Cagayan in northeast Luzon is home to adrenaline-pumping scenic attractions, such as the seven-chamber Callao Cave, white-sand Anguib Beach, and breathtaking Mount Cagua. Not a lot of people head there, though, because plane fare to Tuguegarao City can get pricey and it takes at least 12 hours to get there by bus. But Dalin Liner, a provincial bus that plies the various provinces in Cagayan Valley, offers the best of both worlds: a commuter bus, with an airplane-style entertainment system, that's available at an affordable price. The new Deluxe Higer A90 (JD Series), which travels from Manila City to Tuguegarao City, was introduced to the public in December 2019.
Aside from air-conditioning and an onboard restroom, the new fleet features leather recliner seats, each with an adjustable headrest, armrest, and footrest. Rows are grouped by twos, ensuring spacious legroom for passengers. If you run out of juice, USB ports for mobile devices are right in front of your seat or you can tinker around with the individual BusPad. The Android-powered tablets let you watch pre-installed movies, search through television channels, read e-books, or play some games. Tray tables and cup holders are also available for each seat to make sure that you can enjoy your meals even while on the road.
The trip has no stopover from Dalin Liner Terminal at Cayco Street, Sampaloc, Manila, to the bus line's terminal in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. One-way fare is at P850. Travel time is still at 12 hours or more, but at least you can just doze off until you get to your destination.
