When times are tough and the stress piles on high, chances are you turn to indulgent eats that push your brain's pleasure-center buttons—and Lola Nena's famous Triple Cheese Donuts are definitely one of those treats that fit the bill! With a chewy Pinoy-style doughnut base stuffed with cheese and rolled in margarine and sugar, this viral snack plays on the Filipino love for salty plus sweet. It takes the comfort of classic cheese-stuffed bicho-bicho into overdrive as it's got a way higher ratio of cheese to doughnut versus other versions around.
In their basic doughnut form they're as decadent as can be—but imagine their signature flavors transformed into a cool, creamy ice cream. Well, we're happy to report that such an idea isn't just make-believe anymore! Lola Nena's has teamed up with local ice cream brand Merry Moo and come up with the Triple Cheese Donut Ice Cream!

Yup, the Lola Nena's x Merry Moo: Triple Cheese Donut ice cream takes the signature salty-sweet, buttery taste of the OG doughnut and gives it a frozen, velvety do-over. Merry Moo makes a doughnut ice-cream base that actually captures the fried-sugary taste of the pastry (right down to its subtle vanilla-y, caramel-y note), then folds in doughnut chunks and cheese bits for a chewy, savory contrast. It's rich enough that you can have it on its own and be whisked away to ice-cream heaven, but your best bet is to have it with one of the OG doughnuts, heated or toasted for that hot-meets-cold contrast.
A 473-ml pint goes for P450, and can be ordered via Merry Moo's website—and pro tip: you can get 10% off when you use the code LOLA upon checkout! You can also head over to Lola Nena's Xavierville and Jupiter Street branches to get your fix.
Lola Nena's is a local brand that started selling pichi-pichi before expanding their menu and introducing other products—including the Triple Cheese Doughnuts, which have gained fame on social media. Merry Moo, on the other hand, is a local ice-cream brand that churns up premium ice cream using non-ultra heat treated dairy sourced from Laguna farmers.
