The pandemic has proven to be challenging to anyone, even to celebrities like Loisa Andalio. In a recent episode of Magandang Buhay, she shared about her struggles as a family breadwinner amidst the current health crisis.
"Pinaka-challenge talaga yung walang work. Bilang breadwinner, 'di ba, mahirap. Ikaw yung inaasahan ng family mo. Ikaw yung may pinaka-okay na trabaho n'un tapos biglang nawala," she revealed.
Despite the struggles, Loisa still remains optimistic. "Sobrang hirap pero lagi kong sinasabi na 'okay lang yan. Malalampasan natin ito.' Kumbaga, pagsubok lang din talaga 'to e. Palaging dumadaan yung ganitong [pangyayari] sa mundo. Kailangan mo lang din magtiwala. At saka itong quarantine din nagpalapit sa atin sa Diyos. Kasi, yun na lang talaga pinanghahawakan mo," she tearfully explained.
Melai Cantiveros, one of the show's hosts, agreed and said that Loisa's sentiments echo the struggles of Filipinos. "Hindi talaga biro mawalan ng trabaho," she emphasized.
Loisa also said that she and her boyfriend Ronnie Alonte often discuss the difficult situations brought about by the pandemic and how they both want to remain strong for their families. "Ayaw namin sila matakot. 'Di din namin pinapakita [yung nararamdaman namin]," she tearfully explained.
"Mas pinapakita ko sa family ko na 'wala ito. Okay lang 'to. Okay lang wala akong trabaho, 'wag niyong isipin.' Pero, deep inside siyempre, hindi okay," she divulged.
The Pinoy Big Brother alumni is also aware of her privilege and expressed her concern for those who are financially struggling during the pandemic. At the end of the day, she is just thankful that her family remains to be healthy.
