Game of Thrones' latest season has just started (who's excited for episode two?!) but the hype is undying and ever-present. Trust the avid and creative fans to come up with their own renditions and iterations of their favorite GoT characters. Take for example, Gpao Villeza, whose latest collection of art works has been surfacing in most of our Facebook feeds. He is responsible for reimagining 45 local celebrities as our beloved Game of Thrones characaters, humorously entitled "Laro ng Trono."

When asked why he came up with these works, Gpao tells Preview, "I have always been in touch with my creative side. Marrying my hobbies with my innate love for the arts just made sense. Ever since we were young, we have always been fascinated with making our own fan casts of local celebrities for foreign media that we enjoy. Since GoT is all the rage right now and being a big fan of it myself, so ayan, nabuo sila."

He continues to share his creative process, "Like with most things, we looked at the physical resemblances first then made a shortlist." But there's more to his selection than what meets the eye. Gpao says, "[I] picked the celeb that most embodies the character's personality and their 'branding' so to speak."

And his favorite out of all his works? Yassi Pressman as Daenerys Targaryen! "Yassi's version of the Khaleesi is the most perfect fit. Khaleesi represents the transition from a naive ingénue to a capable woman, something that I think Yassi embodies [through] her acting."
