Last May 20, American popstar Lauv held his very first arena concert at the Araneta Coliseum. A milestone for his career, he revealed that it was the biggest venue where he had ever played solo to date. So how did the I Like Me Better singer celebrate this monumental feat? By shooting the music video for his newest song right then and there, of course! Lauv admits to only having finished writing the song, titled Sad Forever, just hours prior to the concert. The pop track is a personal one as it delves into the singer’s mental health issues, an admission that he also goes into detail within the video.
For his MV, Lauv sits in melancholy in the middle of Araneta, surrounded by hundreds of his Filipino fans, before eventually breaking out of his bubble and interacting with the crowd. A perfect depiction of the song’s message, we think.
