What does one need to achieve a "beach body"? For Kris Bernal, it simply means to "have a body and go to the beach." Period.
Clad in a bright yellow bikini while enjoying her El Nido vacay, the actress just got real about weight gain—and we're totally here for it!

"Many of you have commented on how much better I look now that I've gained weight," Kris wrote on her Instagram, adding how living with her "chef husband" has made her stuff herself with carbo-loaded meals, hit pause on daily rigorous workouts, and treat herself to tubs of icecream and chocolates, eventually leading to 10 extra pounds. The 33-year-old celebrity also explained that she has cut back on exercising due to her busy schedule, reducing her sessions from every other day to once a week.
"Yes, it has made me gain weight," Kris admits.
That said, before ending her post, the actress made sure to clarify that gaining a few extra pounds doesn't bother her at all because she's "enjoying the married life" and "enjoying the weight gain."


Last year, Kris also called out netizens to stop shaming women's bodies no matter their size. "Normalize shunning 'beauty standards' because there's none. We are all strong and beautiful just as we are,” said the actress, who constantly had to deal with haters commenting that she's "too thin" or that she looks like a "skeleton."
True enough, people need to unlearn the toxic habit of always giving unsolicited advice and unwarranted opinion about someone else's body. Once and for all, let's normalize women gaining and losing weight!
