Some Korean celebs just seem to have it all—they’re gorgeous, talented, and charming. And then there are those who are uber-intelligent as well. ICYDK, the average IQ is 100, and those who have a score beyond that are considered as geniuses!
Here are five Korean stars with high IQs:
1. RM of BTS
Every ARMY knows how intelligent RM is. He's fluent in English, can solve problems in BTS variety shows real quick, and is wordplay genius(the group's albums are proof). In a TV show, it was revealed that Joon "...placed within the top 1.3 percent of students in the nation on his freshman high school exams for language, mathematics, foreign language, and social studies." Recently, a fan asked about his TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication) score during his V Live, and did you know what he got? An impressive 915!
2. Kim Tae Hee
She's pretty, she's wealthy, and she's one smart lady—if I were to be reincarnated, I would like to be like Kim Tae Hee, please. The 40-year-old actress graduated from the prestigious Seoul National University (SNU) and it was reported that her college entrance test put her in South Korea's top 1 to 1.5 percent! In an article by Soompi, Tae Hee explained how she was able to get admitted to SNU: “I loved math because the answer was definite, but subjects like social studies weren’t interesting. However, I didn’t give up on the subjects I disliked and that’s one of the reasons why I got accepted into Seoul National University.”
3. Epik High's Tablo
Did you know that this Korean artist earned his bachelor's and master's degree in English Literature and Creative Writing from Stanford University? He faced a lot of controversies about his schooling, but Tablo's intelligence is undeniable. He's the genius behind music of Epik High. Jawdropping trivia coming through: His IQ is equivalent to Albert Einstein's. Whoa!
4. EXID's Hani
Hani didn't just go viral for her fancam videos but also for her high IQ. When she took the TOEIC, she studied the English language for two months and ended up with a score of 900 out of 990! Aside from this, she is also fluent in Chinese. In a magazine interview, the K-pop idol said that she wanted to become a psychologist and that she has always been interested in that field. For her hobbies, Hani loves writing in her journal and reading manhwas (webtoons).
5. TVXQ's Changmin
Changmin can definitely hit those high notes, and he is also one to nail exams! When he was in high school, the TVXQ member placed ninth in his entire batch while he was already a member of the group. Now I'm speechless! Changmin finished his Postmodern Music studies at Konkuk University and also pursued a master's and doctorate degree at Inha University.
