This is not a drill: We’re finally getting Kim Seon Ho back on our screens soon! Albeit it’ll only be for a short time, but hey, we’ll take what we can get.
In case you haven’t heard yet, our favorite "Good Boy" is set to make a cameo appearance on the JTBC drama Run On. The series follows Shin Se Kyung as Oh Mi-joo, a foreign film translator who gets into a scuffle with her university professor one night. In order to make up for her actions, she’s forced to take her former teacher’s offer and becomes the official translator for Ki Seon-gyeom (Im Si Wan), an odd yet righteous track and field star and South Korean national athlete who often gets interviewed by foreign press.
For his part, Seon Ho will appear during the show’s 15th episode as a film director named Kim Sang-ho. According to Soompi, Sang-ho hires Mi-joo to translate his upcoming movie titled Codename Candy. The project poses as an important opportunity for Mi-joo since the film itself stars her favorite actress Yook Ji-woo (Cha Hwa Yeon), a famous star who also happens to be Seon-gyeom’s mother.
Check out the ever-handsome Seon Ho in a few first-look stills released by JTBC below! By the looks of it, he'll mostly be sharing scenes with leading lady Se Kyung.
Seon Ho was reportedly quick to agree to the guesting considering his relation with Run On’s director Lee Jae Hoon. The two previously met on the set of the 2017 workplace dramedy Good Manager. FYI, the actor’s supporting role on the show also served as his acting debut.
The actor received international recognition for his portrayal of Han Ji-pyeong in the 2020 TVN drama Start-Up. While we've yet to hear of any new confirmed TV series for the star, Seon Ho returned to his theatre roots early this year for the play Ice as helmed by South Korean director Jang Jin.
Fans can catch Seon Ho’s cameo on Run On's upcoming episode tomorrow, February 3. The series may currently be streamed on Netflix.
