Saddening news rocked the Korean drama industry today. Kim Mi Soo, an actress known for her appearances in Hi Bye, Mama!, and more recently, Snowdrop, has passed away at the young age of 31 this January 5, Wednesday.

Her agency, Landscape Entertainment, has since released a statement. It reads, "This is actress Kim Mi Soo's agency Landscape Entertainment. We are relaying sorrowful and heartbreaking news. Kim Mi Soo suddenly passed away on January 5. The bereaved family is currently very heartbroken by the sudden mournful news.
"We sincerely ask you to refrain from making up rumors or speculative reports so that the bereaved family, who are in shock and grief-stricken, can reverently commemorate the deceased," they continue, "as per her family's wishes, the funeral will be held quietly in private. Please wish for Kim Mi Soo to rest in peace, and once again, we offer our deepest condolences to the deceased."

In Snowdrop, Mi Soo played the role of Yeo Jeong-min, one of the close friends of Eun Young-ro, Jisoo of BLACKPINK's character. Her on-screen debut was for a film titled Lipstick Revolution in 2018. Since then, she's been cast in other hit titles such as The School Nurse's Files, Hi Bye, Mama!, Hellbound, and Yumi's Cells.
