A testament to her remarkable skills, Da Mi landed a movie role straight out of college. She portrayed an assistant administrator in Romans 8:37, a two-hour drama about Gi-seop, a preacher who joins a church community at the request of a reverend he’s always idolized. However, when he starts to hear unsightly rumors about him, Gi-seop’s faith starts to waiver as he finds himself investigating the potentially corrupt church.

Marionette (2018)

A high school girl is left scarred and traumatized after she’s sexually asssaulted by a group of boys. To make matters worse, the video of the incident, taken by her boyfriend, goes viral online and lands her in an invasive media frenzy. Years later, she changes her identity to forget what happened, only to be confronted with her past once again when an extortionist threatens her young students with revealing photos they don’t remember taking. Da Mi plays the lead character, Han Seo-rin, during her high school years.

Following her mistake, she starts crossing paths with strange individuals threatening to upend her quiet life.

Hello, My Soulmate (Coming Soon)

Da Mi was confirmed to lead the coming-of-age film Hello, My Soulmate back in 2020. A remake of the Chinese film titled Soulmate, it follows the 14-year friendship of two girls who first meet at 13. As they grow up with each other, they navigate through the turbulent years of their relationship, dealing with feelings of “love, respect, and jealousy” along the way. Starring opposite Da Mi is When My Love Blooms actress Jeon So Nee.

Years later, he's released from his sentence and vows to establish the best pub in Itaewon to best Jangga Co. and Jang Da Hee, the man responsible for ruining his life.

Da Mi plays Jo Yi-seo in the series, a feisty student who uses her social media know-how to help promote Saeroyi’s pub. A callous yet brilliant girl, she ends up becoming DanBam’s manager while navigating her growing affection for Saeroyi. Da Mi received multiple nominations for her performance, including a win as Best New TV Actress at the prestigious Baeksang Arts Awards.

Our Beloved Summer (2021)

Da Mi followed up Itaewon Class with yet another Netflix-streamed show. Our Beloved Summer chronicles the complex relationship between Choi Woong and Gook Yeon-soo. Once high school classmates and past lovers, they eventually parted ways following a bitter breakup. Later on in their lives, they’re forced to reunite after a viral documentary they filmed 10 years ago lands in the hands of a producer who wants to do a sequel to it. Complications arise and past feelings resurface as they re-shoot the film and meet new people who could potentially get in the way of their sudden reunion.

Her true abilities are tested when she starts working and is faced with the harsh realities of living as an adult.
