Filipina painter and curator Kim Cruz is bringing her work to Paris this February with her solo exhibition, Une Chambre à Soi. The show marks another international milestone for the Manila-born artist and Preview Creative 25 2025 honoree, following her inclusion in Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in the Art and Style category.
Filipino Artist Kim Cruz Debuts Une Chambre à Soi Exhibit in Paris
On view at HOANG BELI Gallery in the city’s Le Marais district, Une Chambre à Soi takes its cue from Virginia Woolf’s A Room of One’s Own, reflecting on the idea of having space—literal and figurative—to think and create. Instead of presenting only finished works, Kim opens up her process to the public.
At the center of the exhibition is an installation that recreates her personal studio. Unfinished canvases, crossed-out pieces, and personal objects sit alongside completed paintings and sketches, revealing the in-between stages that are usually kept private. The display moves away from the pristine gallery format and closer to the atmosphere of her everyday workspace.
The exhibition runs from February 12 to 28, 2026, at HOANG BELI Gallery, located at 30 rue Chapon, 75003 Paris. The gallery is open Tuesday to Saturday, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Founded in 2023 by John Hoang, the gallery has positioned itself as a platform for international contemporary artists, hosting exhibitions and cross-disciplinary events in one of Paris’s most active art neighborhoods.
