A few days ago, Kendall Jenner deactivated her Instagram account. And while everyone was busy trying to figure out what pushed her to do so, it turns out that nothing close to a traumatic experience had even happened. Thing is, Kendall simply decided to undergo a social media detox.
She finally cleared the air during an interview with Ellen Degeneres, giving the least dramatic response to all speculations. "I felt like, I just wanted a little bit of a break," she tells Ellen. "I’m always on it. I feel [like] I would wake up and I would look at it first thing [in the morning]. I would go to bed, and it was the last thing that I would look at. It just, I felt a little too dependent on it. I kind of wanted to take a minute; it’s a detox."
In the interview, Kendall also expressed how surprised she was at how much interest people took in her IG detox. She also confirmed that she deleted the Twitter app on her phone, as well. "I honestly didn’t think anyone would care," she admits. In short, Kenny's social media detox had nothing to do with hate comments and annoying spam.
But hey, good news is, she did say it's only temporary and promised to come back soon!
