Kelsey Merritt has been living her best life as an international model abroad! Kelsey is currently in Turks and Caicos, which is known for its white sandy beaches and turquoise Caribbean waters.
As usual, she nailed the aesthetic with her effortlessly elegant and chic look — wearing white linen trousers to cover up her black bikini while showing off her toned bod.
But while she’s soaking up the sun in Caribbean paradise, we love how she hasn’t forgotten about her Filipino roots!
The model shared on her Instagram stories that the resort she was staying at just happened to employ a Filipino chef and staff, and did the best thing — arrange a boodle fight dinner by the beach.
“So happy,” she wrote on her story. “Never thought I’d get to have boodle fight in Turks and Caicos!”
She also didn’t hold back on the praise for the Filipino chef, writing, “Chef Aldin killed it,” as he’s seen preparing Filipino favorites such as inihaw na liempo, adobo, barbecue, and lumpia, all surrounding mountains of white rice and mangoes.
Kelsey has always been outspoken about growing up in the Philippines even as she pursued an international career. She was the first Filipino model to walk the Victoria’s Secret runway and even pushed back against haters who doubted her Filipino roots.
