We’re used to seeing Kathryn Bernardo’s colorful life on Instagram, from her wanderlust-inducing photos to her on-point OOTDs. But what does the 24-year-old actress do when she’s holed up at home? Quarantine has everyone whipping up dalgona coffee to filming laborious TikTok videos, but it turns out that Kathryn’s hobbies are far from complicated. It’s making us want to wind down like her, because honestly, sometimes the simplest things are the best!
Here are five activities Kathryn has been immersing herself with that we can all take cues from:
1. Working out
In case you missed it, Kathryn recently posted a slew of photos showing off her amazing abs, which of course, didn’t appear overnight. Her toned figure is credited to her regular workout routine. She doesn’t let being stuck at home become an excuse for laziness, either—she resorts to online workout classes on Zoom or YouTube!
2. Taking care of plants
Although she hasn’t officially introduced her "plant babies" on the 'gram, she has been sharing snippets of her plantita life on her stories, which was apparently influenced by Daniel Padilla. She’s got quite a few pots in her growing “indoor garden,” and we’re sure she’ll be adopting more in the future! Also, can we just mention how she aesthetically arranged them at home? So clean and simple!
3. Reading books
Kathryn has taken to reading a lot of books during quarantine and has become obsessed with one author in particular: Mitch Albom. Based on her Instagram, the first of his books that she had read was Tuesdays with Morrie, and she couldn’t help but devour more after that!
The photo above gives us a reading list you could pick up yourself: The Five People You Meet in Heaven, The Next Person You Meet in Heaven, The First Phone Call From Heaven, The Time Keeper—all from the same author.
4. Cooking and baking
Like all of us, quarantine has Kathryn spending a lot of time in the kitchen. We recently caught her riding on the pandesal trend, and she went the extra mile by going for ube-filled ones! They look so yummy, too!
5. Bonding with pets
Like all pet owners, Kathryn can’t stay away from her fur babies at home—they’re pretty much stuck to her like velcro! They even keep her company while she reads, and we can’t blame her if she stops turning pages just to give them a belly rub every now and then! Fellow doggo lovers can relate, LOL!
