She nailed the Q&A portion!

The Miss Intercontinental 2017 pageant wrapped up successfully in Egypt and our very own Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental Katarina Rodriguez did not disappoint.

The Asia's Next Top Model alum won first runner-up, placing second to Miss Mexico and now Miss Intercontinental 2017 Veronica Vallejo. Katarina was also awarded Miss Intercontinental Asia and Oceania, an honor that the Philippines has received for the fifth time in the history of the pageant.

According to the Miss Intercontinental website, Katarina placed third on the online voting poll by garnering 2,213 votes. The award was won by Miss Korea with 3,638 votes, followed by Miss Indonesia (3,635 votes).

In the Q&A portion of the competition, she was asked the question, "What is the most important thing that you have learned about participating in Miss Intercontinental?"

Katarina then answered, "The most important thing that I have learned in joining Miss Intercontinental is actually an Arabic word, which is named after one of the resorts in Sunrise, it's called meraki. It means to do all things with passion, soul and creativity.

"When I heard this word and its definition, it resonated with me 'til now and I think it will for the rest of my life. Therefore, that is the most important thing I learned while participating at this pageant. Meraki—to do all things with soul, passion and creativity."

Congratulations, Katarina!
