While Kang Ha Neul's social media presence is next to nonexistent (he doesn't even have a personal Insta account), he might just star as a content creator in his next film! According to Soompi, the 30-year-old Hallyu star is in talks to play the lead role of a YouTuber in the film titled Streaming. His agency, TH Company, released this statement about the news: "Kang Ha Neul has received the offer to star in the film Streaming, and he is currently reviewing the offer." Streaming is set to premiere in March 2021.
As for his current projects, Ha Neul is confirmed to make a special appearance in the upcoming period drama River Where the Moon Rises, which will be headlined by Kim So Hyun and Ji Soo. He is also working on The Pirates 2: The Goblin Flag, the sequel to the 2014 action-adventure film The Pirates. The movie is slated to be released in 2021.
So, while waiting for new Kang Ha Neul content to drop, why not re-watch some of his most unforgettable roles? His last drama, When the Camellia Blooms, earned him the Best Actor Award at the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards. Another notable performance was for his role in the chilling suspense thriller, Forgotten.
When The Camellia Blooms and Forgotten are both available on Netflix.
