In the world of K-drama, we've got seasoned actors that can make anyone's heart flutter even when they're over the age of 30. Consequently, we also have rookie stars who have proven their talent by bagging lead roles at young ages. Some of your favorite oppas now actually started with leading roles back when they were still pretty young. This just proves that talent isn't really about age!

Below, we list down 10 K-Drama actors who were able to snag leading roles in their early 20s.

1. Yook Sungjae

Yook Sungjae debuted as a member of K-pop boy group BTOB in 2012. He was only 17 years old then. He then embarked on an acting stint a year later with a supporting role in the drama Monstar. The BTOB member was 20 years old when he bagged his first leading role in the K-drama Who Are You: School 2015. He starred along side Kim Soo Hyun and Nam Joo Hyuk. He also went on to star in the horror drama The Village: Achiara's Secret in the same year.

2. Yeo Jin Goo

Yeo Jin Goo is best known as a child actor. But his first leading role in a K-drama as an adult was the 2015 series Orange Marmalade where he starred opposite K-pop girl group AOA's Seolhyun. He was only 17 when he bagged the role.

3. Cha Eun Woo

Cha Eun Woo debuted as an idol with his group Astro in 2016 but he's already had minor actor roles before that. His first small screen lead role was at the age of 21 when he starred in the 2018 rom-com series Gangnam Beauty alongside Im Soo Hyang.

4. Nam Joo Hyuk

Actor Nam Joo Hyuk was only 21 years old when he starred in Who Are You: School 2015 together with Yook Sungjae and Kim Soo Hyun. At 23, he bagged the leading role in Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo where he starred opposite reel-to-real partner Lee Sung Kyung. The two, however, have parted ways.

5. Sung Joon

Sung Joon is a model-turned-actor who appeared in various dramas such as Gu Family Book starring Bae Suzy and Lee Seung Gi. He was 21 years old when he landed his first leading role in the 2012 drama Flower Band.

6. Park Bo Gum

Park Bo Gum has become one of the Hallyu stars to watch for. His first major lead role was at the age of 22 when he starred in the highly acclaimed drama Reply 1988 together with Lee Hyeri, Go Kyung Pyo, Ryu Jun Yeol, and Lee Dong Hwi.

7. Yoo Seung Ho

Yoo Seung Ho has starred in many dramas, including I'm Not a Robot and The Emperor: Owner of the Mask. His most recent drama is the mystery series Memorist. His first leading role, however, was in the drama Operation Proposal alongside Park Eun Bin. He was only 18 when the show came out.

8. Seo Kang Joon

Seo Kang Joon starred alongside Park Hae Jin, Kim Go Eun, and Lee Sung Kyung in Cheese in the Trap at the age of 22. In the same year, he also snagged the leading role in the Korean remake of the American series Entourage.

9. Lee Jong Suk

This 30-year-old K-actor has landed leading roles in many popular K-dramas, including Doctor Stranger, Pinocchio, W, and While You Were Sleeping. One of his first leading roles, however, was in the drama School 2013 when he was only 22.

10. Lee Min Ho

Lee Min Ho is undoubtedly one of the top leading men in the world of K-dramas. Most recently, he starred alongside Kim Go Eun in The King: Eternal Monarch. His first leading role, however, was in the 2007 drama Mackerel Run when he was only 19 years old. Three years later, he landed the iconic role of Gu Jun Pyo in Boys Over Flowers. He was 22 at that time.
