Blackpink’s Jisoo finally has her first official leading man and it’s no other than Something in the Rain’s Jung Hae In. JTBC officially announced the casting new for their upcoming romance drama Snowdrop earlier today, October 5.

According to the TV company, new names joining the main leads Jisoo and Hae In include Kim Hye Yoon (Sky Castle, Extraordinary You), Jang Seung Jo (Familiar Wife, Encounter), and Yoon Se Ah (Sky Castle, A Gentleman’s Dignity).

Set in Seoul 1987, Snowdrop follows Jisoo as Eun Young Cho, a bright personality who falls in love with the charming yet enigmatic Im Soo Ho (Jung Hae In) at first sight. Fate pulls them together one night when Soo Ho rushes into the female dorms covered in blood. Determined to help him, Young Cho takes Soo Ho in and tends to his wounds despite the danger that may befall on her.  

Other roles include Yoon Se Ah as Pi Seung Hee, the strict and terrifying housemother of Young Cho’s dorm, while Kim Hye Yoon is set to play Kye Boon Ok, a phone operator at the same building who couldn’t continue her studies due to her family’s financial problems. Joining them is Seung Jo as Lee Kang Moo, the head of the National Intelligence Service, a.k.a. a strict detective who prefers to do everything by the book.

Snowdrop will be helmed by Sky Castle’s writer and director Jo Hyun Tak, and is set to premiere sometime next year.
