A new Thai TV series called 2gether: The Series is currently enjoying positive reception from viewers, particularly ones here in the Philippines. The drama is about a fake relationship between the two lead characters, college students Tine and Sarawat, who eventually begin to question whether their fake feelings are beginning to morph into real ones. The two protagonists are played by Thai actors Vachirawit Chiva-aree and Metawin Opas-iamkajorn. The show falls under a type of fictional media genre called Boys' Love (BL), which mainly focuses on homoerotic relationships among male characters.
The series is currently ongoing, with new episodes being uploaded by the show's production company GMMTV on YouTube (with English subs, don't worry!). Thereâs a bit of good news for fans of the BL genre, though: We might be seeing a local series about it soon.
Juan Miguel Severo posted a screenshot of a conversation on Twitter about a possible new series revolving around BL, captioned: "We'll have a series after the pandemic."
He also added that he has started preparing for the pitch, complete with a synopsis, character descriptions, and casting plans. While we still don't know what the possible new series is about, Severo did hint in the screenshot that the series might find itself in a university setting. Are you excited to know more about this new show?
