Before building herself up as a fashion icon, it turns out Jinkee Pacquiao once held a different title altogether: beauty queen.
The socialite took a trip down memory lane when she recently stumbled upon a snap of herself from her pageant days back in General Santos City, more than two decades ago. In the photo, a young Jinkee can be seen waving and smiling at the camera while sporting a one-piece swimsuit and a customary pageant sash.
“Wow. A blast from the past. Memories,” read her caption. “That's me 25 years ago.” As per Jinkee, the photo was taken during her stint at Binibining Heneral Santos 1996, just three years before she married boxer Manny Pacquiao.
It seems Jinkee’s particularly fond of this chapter in her life, seeing as this isn’t the first time she’s posted about her pageant past. In 2018, she shared a different photo from the same competition on her Instagram account, asking her followers to spot her amongst her fellow contenders. Her fans were quick to point out that she was the eighth girl from the left, in the pic below.
But that’s not all. A year before she vied for the Ms. GenSan title, Jinkee had actually already won a crown for herself during her university days. In another IG upload just last February, the socialite posted an old photo of her crowning moment during her school’s Ms. AMA Computer College competition in 1995.
“Habang ako'y nagliligpit ng mga gamit ko nahalungkat ko to sa aking mahiwagang baul,” she wrote. “Grabe ang bilis ng panahon! #verythrowback.”
