We’re Obsessed With Jess Wilson and Moritz Gastl’s Colorful Pre-Wedding Party in Austria

Newly wedded bliss comes a second time around for Sunnies co-founder Jess Wilson and her businessman hubby Moritz Gastl! As you may know, the Gastls already got hitched in a civil ceremony back in June 2021. The intimate celebration, held in the gorgeous Sunlight Eco Tourism Island Resort in Palawan, was attended by the couple's closest friends and family.

However, the couple knew that they were saving their real celebration for their church wedding when COVID restrictions eased up. Almost a year later, the couple is finally able to celebrate a bigger affair with all their loved ones in Austria. To kick off the wedding festivities, Jess and Moritz hosted a picturesque pre-wedding event that had a few interesting details that captivated our attention. 

All the Highlights of Jess Wilson’s Pre-Wedding Event in Austria

1. It was held in Salzburg.

While their civil wedding was held in a tropical beach setting, the couple had always planned a celebration in Salzburg, Austria. Known for being the location of the musical film The Sound of Music, the groom’s German roots are taking front and center for this bash! 

2. The dress code was traditional German attire

In contrast to their Filipiniana ensembles at their Palawan celebration, the bride and groom, plus their beloved guests, were completely dressed in traditional dirndls and lederhosens! Jess looked every bit an Alpine bride in her custom dirndl created by Bavarian designer Annina Pfuel. The traditional garment came in a dainty shade of yellow, and was completed with a light blue apron. It also featured a modern twist with its off-shoulder neckline! Moritz, on the other hand, dressed in brown lederhosens with a smart, grey jacket for his ensemble.

In attendance at the pre-wedding party were some of the bride’s closest relatives like her sister Georgina along with cousins Isabelle Daza-Semblat and Martine Cajucom- Ho, who were also spotted wearing their colorful custom dirndls!

Jess’s aunt, Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz also made it to the mountaintop celebration.

3. The event styling was done by Gideon Hermosa.

Celebrity event stylist Gideon Hermosa was in charge of the event’s set up. He decorated the open field with colorful blooms and bales of hay, which created the most beautiful atmosphere. It was a dreamy complement to the Swiss alps view that the party enjoyed!

4. She got a surprise from Nico Bolzico and Erwan Heusaff.

An unexpected appearance that nonetheless brought a smile to the couple's faces was Nico Bolzico and Erwan Heussaff's musical performance! As the group's resident cut-ups, the duo surprised everyone by pretending to be a part of the band. LOL!

5. There were Sunnies Face freebies.

We didn’t expect anything less from the gathering of the Sunnies Face founders! Free lip dip, anyone?

6. Jess' late father's notes made it to the church misalette

In a touching way to honor her late Dad, Jess included her father's notes about love in the church's misalette. We're certain this little detail made Jess feel his presence at the event!
