Sure, brides switching up their looks for the wedding reception is nothing new. Changing dresses, shoes, or even hairstyles is pretty common! Fashion model Jasmine Maierhofer Patrimonio, however, took this to a whole new level with a daredevil feat.
In addition to swapping her princessy Francis Libiran wedding gown for a waif-like Jot Losa party frock, she got an on-the-spot hair cut, prior to her wedding reception, too. Jasmine chopped off her long, wavy tresses right after her ceremony, and waltzed into the reception hall (on her husband's Angelo's shoulders!) sporting a brand-new lob.
Oh, and did we mention that it was Angelo himself who cut her hair? Yup! And before this, she'd worn her hair long for over twenty years!

Jasmine, a Filipino-Austrian Puerto Galera native, has been modeling since she was scouted at the age of 11. Now 30, she's done countless runway shows, including one for luxury house Valentino in Paris. Her modeling career, she explained, is the reason why she couldn't get a haircut.
"I've always wanted to cut my hair short for the longest time," she told Preview during a quick online interview. "But I've been afraid to do so because as a model, long hair is essential for great styling in shoots and shows."
Well, during the wedding ceremony, she rocked her wavy locks for the last time. She floated down the aisle with her hair gathered in a single dainty braid down her back, a fitting look for the end of an era!

Right after the ceremony, she got back in the makeup chair to let Angelo cut her hair. He wasn't totally left to his own devices, though! Celebrity hairstylist John Valle was there to guide him the whole time.
"Now that I'm married, I'm taking a leap by cutting it short, and I let my husband cut it. He's not a barber, but I trust him. After all, trust is what makes a relationship successful. He did it after the ceremony. A total change [of] look for the reception. What a special way to start a married life," Jasmine said.
When the couple's family and friends discovered what they had done, they reportedly asked, "Why?"
According to Jasmine, she jokingly answered, "Kasi sisirain na niya ang normal kong buhay, [so] go, sirain na niya rin ang buhok ko! Idamay na niya!"
"Hindi pantay," she said, trailing off with laughter emojis. "And pang paper [na] scissors lang ginamit niya."
Angelo may not be a hairstylist by any stretch, but we think the outcome looked great! With her voluminous new lob, Jasmine was as stunning as ever!

Plus, she said that she'll be donating her locks to cancer patients via I Want to Share Foundation, a charity organization established in 2013! How cool is that?
Congratulations again, Jasmine and Angelo!
