"Our biggest event yet," Mond Gutierrez captions on one of his Instagram posts a few days before last night's Magnum #NeverStopPlaying bash. True enough, Manila House was over-flowing with the city's most stylish as the creamy popsicle brand launched their latest set of ambassadors including Sarah Lahbati, Martine Cajucom, and Janine Gutierrez along with two new flavors: red velvet and white chocolate almond. (Trust us, the thick white chocolate coating in both bars is worth every calorie.)

Magnum's newest flavor is one of our favorite cakes, too!
But other than a satisfied sweet tooth, we were also indulged with style inspired by flavor. Magnum collaborated with local designers Boom Sason and Amina Aranaz to create pieces inspired by the two new bars. "I think this is my first time to collab with food!" Amina muses as she talks about Aranaz's designs for the ice cream. "They commissioned us to make six pieces for them, but I actually made around nine or 10 designs. Some of the bags we just changed the colors to match the ice cream, but the red fringe bag and the 'Let's Play' clutch was made specifically for Magnum," she tells us, "And for the pineapple bag, we repainted it red and also did this embroidery pattern which we've never done on that design before."

"The story they were pushing [for] was the focus on the not-too-serious side of life and the word 'play'," Amina shares, pertaining to the design process.
For Boom, her collab was special and at the same time sentimental since it marked her very first runway show. "It's a matter of timing. I had to make sure that, if and when I do it, I'm prepared. That I should have that feeling of readiness. Of course, it helped that I picked the right collab, which is Magnum, to do it with. They gave me full creative control also," says Boom about debuting her signature sultry and sexy aesthetic down the runway, "The only rule they had was that it had to be playful."

"She's the kind of woman I want to design for. She's got a great body, she's strong, she's talented, and she's very confident," says Boom about her muse KC del Rosario who opened her show.
Magnum also tapped Sunnies Studio for red and white sunglasses to match, and as soon as Mond rallied Magnum girls Martine and Janine on stage, along with Boom and Amina, waiters brought out enough ice cream bars for everyone to enjoy. Below, see who else partied and #NeverStopPlaying at Magnum.
