This has been confirmed through a vlog by Liza’s previous talent manager, Ogie Diaz, who oversaw the actress’ successful career in the Philippines for nearly 11 years. With such a bold move, most would think it would cause a rift between the two parties. However, Liza’s choice to move to James' talent agency caused no bad blood between the manager and the actress. Ogie even supports Liza in her future career in Hollywood.
In the meantime, the transition between the handling of Liza from Ogie to James has slowly started, with Ogie adding that she already has a new management.
Furthermore, Ogie has his limits as a talent manager and knows that Liza’s burgeoning career in the Hollywood scene isn’t something he would know how to handle.
But even with this life-changing next step for her, Liza isn’t completely leaving the Philippine entertainment industry as Ogie explained in a previous vlog.
Marking the actress’ last stint in showbiz back in the Philippines was her hit teleserye Make It with You together with love team partner and real-life beau Enrique Gil. Liza, who’s half American through her mom’s side, isn’t the first Filipino actress to make career strides abroad. Other local celebs like James himself moved to L.A. last February to pursue more music opportunities. A celeb couple who also made the big move to the states was powerhouse duo Jericho Rosales and Kim Jones who are now based on the east and west coasts.
We’re excited for your next projects in Hollywood and wish you all the best, Liza!
