Instagram is making it easier for you to follow your Tinder date friends with its latest "nametag" feature. Much like Snapchat, you now have a personalized code on Instagram that your new friends can scan for a quick and easy follow, and vice versa! Forget about having to remember their long usernames when there's no Wi-Fi available.
To try it, go to your profile and select the menu button on the top right corner. That's where you'll find a new option called nametag, which will then direct you to your own code.
There will be an option to scan a nametag.
Simply focus your camera onto your friend's code by holding down your phone screen to start scanning, and voilà!
An option will pop up, which will allow you to either follow your friend or view his/her profile.
You can even customize your nametag!
You can keep it simple with just your username, photo, and a colored background that you can change according to your liking.
An emoji background is also an option, FYI! Simply tap on your screen to display your favorite emoji.
Or, if you really want it personalized, you can even take a selfie and have your face as the background as well!
The nametag feature is out now, available on both Android and iOS.
