Somewhere along the infinite scroll of your social media feed, you're sure to have stumbled upon Inka Magnaye, the voice talent who surprised a few months ago with her revelation: not only is she the current in-flight voice you hear when you take a Philippine Airlines flight, but her mom was the OG! Well, she recently dropped another shocker: Her aunt is the voice behind the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board advisory that we are all familiar with.
We'll give you some time to pick your jaw back up from the floor. You good? Okay, let's discuss. Magnaye has been blowing up online since she dropped the Philippine Airlines spiel video, treating people to cool podcasts, videos, and yup, fun tidbits about her ultra-cool family—including the fact that her dad's sister is the voice behind the announcement we hear before watching any program on Pinoy TV.
The super short but packed video appears to have been shot when Magnaye had a mini-reunion with her fam. She posted a picture of her, her mom, and her aunt chilling together in her dad's village after having tested negative for COVID-19; still adhering to safety measures. Magnaye did not drop her aunt's name, perhaps for privacy reasons, but we're glad we still got to see the MTRCB voice-over artist in action.
Plus, it looks like her entirely family can do professional voice overs! "Here’s what people think a family of professional announcers sound like ordering pizza," says Magnaye in the caption of a video she posted on Twitter on September 14. Keep in mind that this is just an small, impromptu family reunion! Anyone else wonder what a big, planned event would be like in their family?
