This holiday season is finally here and we all know what that means: It’s time for some serious shopping! But apart from buying gifts for your friends, loved ones, and yourself in the spirit of Christmas, why not spend your money on great finds for a good cause as well?
Carousell’s #PrelovedWithLove campaign is exactly what it's about. The third party shopping app of preloved treasures has asked influencers like Laureen Uy, Martine Cajucom, Penelope Pop, and more to donate special boxes for sale for the benefit of Hands On Manila charity. Each box contains select pieces from each influencer, ranging from designer finds to childhood memorabilia.
“Ang hilig ko talaga mag-give to my followers and to my fans. I also want them to feel important and meaningful to me. So when they asked me to be the lead influencer for #PrelovedWithLove, I said yes right away,” Laureen shares during the campaign launch. She also adds, “When I sell my stuff online, it’s never because I want to get my money back, it’s always so much deeper than that. When I part with the things I buy, it’s always with the knowledge that someone might need it more or [it's] as if I’m passing it on.”

For Laureen, it’s all about donating some of her most important possessions. One box, she hints, contains one of her favorite comic book collections and a piece from her brand Style Break, which she made back in college! All proceeds will go straight to Hands On Manila’s social entrepreneurship program, which they’re currently conducting at the Mandaluyong Addition Hills Elementary School.
The #PrelovedWithLove influencer boxes will be available to purchase from December 6 to 10 via the Carousell app. But if you’re already on the app and have some items up for sale, you can choose to donate those items to Hands On Manila as well by changing the prices of your goods to 0.00 and using the hashtag #PrelovedWithLove!
