Here in the Philippines, if you’re like me, then there’s no specific season to head to the beach. You go whenever you want! One of the most common local beach destinations is undoubtedly Boracay, and for most of you, you would probably think that you’ve seen and experienced everything that this island has to offer. But what if I would tell you that Boracay still has a few pleasant surprises up its sleeve? Like a newfound gem among stones, you’ll find a new resort in Station 2 called Hue Boracay. The property is managed by HII (Hospitality Innovators, Inc.), the same guys behind The Picasso Boutique Serviced Residences and Y2 Residence Hotel.

Upon entering I was greeted by a very inviting pool. The oval structure of the building allowed light and air to flow freely into the space giving a very relaxed vibe. The pool was filled with different kinds of quirky floaties too. Immediately I was thinking, “Ooh, IG props!” because what’s the use of a good vacay without posting photos on your  feed, right?

No pool photo should be without a floatie!

Speaking of planning your IG feed, Hue Boracay did not disappoint in providing photo-op-worthy spaces. Take note ladies, this place is a gold mine for creating your OOTD content. The resort’s overall aesthetic is very young and fresh with splashes of color everywhere. The open park-style layout is just as perfect for hanging out with a big group of friends as it is conducive to finding a cozy spot with your S.O.

The room I stayed in was also very stylish. It was complete with wifi, cable TV, AC, a safe for your valuables, and separate rooms for the toilet and the shower. I also noticed that they served complimentary water in a reusable glass bottle. Their contribution to sustainability—nice, right? What’s unique about it, though, is that the room keys were connected to a waterproof wristband. How clever! No more worrying about losing your keys when you go out to hit the water. Unlike other resorts where they provide you room keys attached to ghastly looking key chains. Why let something like that ruin your carefully planned beach looks?

If it weren’t for the need to see the beach, you really won’t have to leave Hue’s premises. There you’ll find Station X, a retail area that houses various dining options. I ate my way through almost all the options available because food here was superb! Try the burgers from Super Magic Burgers, Chaca La Vong from Fat Rice, Fresh Aklan Oysters from Percy, and the Curry Crab from Fat Rice. And did I mention, everything’s ’grammable too?

Last but not the least, I definitely enjoyed hanging out by the pool bar, Prisma. If you’re staying at the hotel, you can even drink while you’re in the water. Developed by the same people behind ABV (Alcohol By Volume), the cocktails here are just awesome.
