Turns out, shopping online isn't all that different from scouring stores in person—in terms of deals, that is. Allow us to bring a not-so-new tool to your attention: Lazada and Shopee's AI-powered image search.
All you have to do is open your shopping app of choice, Lazada or Shopee. On the search bar, you'll find a camera icon on the top right. Lazada tells users to take a photo of an item that they like, but what you're gonna do is upload a screenshot of an item you're looking at on the app.
Ideally, what you'll get are items similar to the one in the screenshot you uploaded—only this time in different price points. How does it work? Well, each distributor (or shop) prices the same item depending on... their own whims, we guess?
You can even take it a bit further and upload the same item on either Lazada or Shopee to compare prices.
The catch is that this only works if the item you want is distributed by several other stores. If not, then you're out of luck. Another catch? It only works on the mobile apps. But, either way, it's still worth a try, especially during the upcoming sales.
