Filipinos can now apply online for an international vaccination certification at the Bureau of Quarantine, which can be used as a medical document for essential or emergency travel. The International Certificate of Vaccination or ICV is also called a Carte Jaune or Yellow Card, an official vaccination report recognized by the World Health Organization. Prior to COVID-19, the card was used to record inoculations for infectious diseases like polio.
Considered a travel document, the ICV is often presented before territories where there is increased health risk for travelers. While accepted globally as a legal document, it is not an official vaccine passport or replacement for vaccination card as local and international governments are yet to mandate the use of such requirement for movement or travel.
The BOQ will only grant ICVs to individuals who got inoculated with the following COVID jabs recognized by WHO:
For now, the BOQ is issuing the ICV to those with overseas contracts or flight booking confirmations. The ICV is not a requirement for all destinations. Double-check with the country you're headed for to be sure.
