Set to face American tennis champion Jessica Pegula, Alex is one win away from her first-ever Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Tour-level title.
Branded as the Mubadala DC Open, the annual Washington DC Open is a professional outdoor hardcourt tennis tournament that takes place at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center in Washington, DC. It is currently the only combined (WTA and Association of Tennis Professionals) 500 event in the world.
How Much Will the Mubadala DC Open Champion Earn?

For the WTA events, the total prize money available is US$1,637,982 (approximately P100.3 million). For her singles' run so far, Alex has currently won four matches and is poised to take home either US$155,000 (approximately P9.5 million) or US$252,000 (approximately P15.4 million).

First round: US$17,440 (approximately P1.06 million)
Second round: US$24,474 (approximately P1.5 million)
Quarterfinal: US$47,750 (approximately P2.9 million)

In addition to the prize money, Alex will be gaining a big chunk of ranking points—a total of 500 if she takes home the championship or 325 if she finishes as a finalist.
