After its groundbreaking run back in 2018 that wracked a whopping eight Philstage Gawad Buhay Awards, Himala: Isang Musikal returns this September with The Sandbox Collective! Ricky Lee and Vincent A. de Jesus' adaptation of the classic Pinoy film transforms the haunting and captivating story of Elsa into a musical that teaches us both the triumphs and pitfalls of faith and a mob's blind belief.
Much like Ishmael Bernal and Ricky Lee's original film four decades ago, Himala: Isang Musikal follows the story of a young woman with mysterious healing abilities and the cursed town that turns her into their reluctant savior.

Reprising her role as Elsa is singer and actress Aicelle Santos. The Philstage Gawad Buhay Award winner returns to the local stage after her impressive West End debut as Miss Saigon's Gigi. Set to join Aicelle are an ensemble cast of other award-winning and nominated actors including Kakki Teodoro, Neomi Gonzales, May Bayot-De Castro, Sheila Francisco, Vic Robinson, and Sandino Martin.

Helmed by veteran director Ed Lacson, Jr., Himala: Isang Musikal opens on September 20, 2019 until October 20, 2019 at the Powermac Center Spotlight in Circuit Makati.
