Actress and global style star Heart Evangelista has expressed frustration over "stolen contacts," lamenting the many years she's worked hard to build connections in the international fashion scene.

In a previous Instagram live where Heart accommodated a Q&A session with her followers, the fashion icon opened up about how the incident rubbed her the wrong way. “Women should support each other. You just ask me. If you asked me for contacts, I would have given [them] to you," Heart shares.

She then adds, "Imagine mo, years and years ko siyang tinrabaho tapos ganun lang? Kinuha lang yung sheet, eh. Pero ganun talaga. Baka kailangan nila.”

Refusing to name names, Heart went on to express her disappointment over what transpired. "You could do everything. If you like to do it, you can do it. It’s just the way or matter of doing it," she explained. "That’s the only thing that sucks. Like, I expected more from, you know... But I don’t know, ganon talaga."

Citing the prevalent crab mentality among Filipinos, Heart concluded, "I think this is the sad part here in the Philippines. Everybody [has] crab mentality. Like, pwede namang, ‘Girl, pwede bang ganyan?' Sure, why not? Hindi yung ganon. Nakaka-turn off. Nakaka-sad.”

Heart first talked about alleged stolen contacts and shadowbanning in response to a netizen's comment on her Instagram post back in October. “Stolen contacts, black propaganda, hiring a [third] party to shadow ban my contents in the end will not matter, because I don’t do this for fame… I do this for love and passion,” she wrote, replying to content creator Marco Bayona’s message. “I will keep doing this till I’m old and gray. Even if no one is looking, I will continue to express myself through fashion because this gives me happiness.”

According to data and insights company Launchmetrics, Heart was among the top influencers at fashion week that generated the most Media Impact Value (MIV), a proprietary algorithm that measures and benchmarks the impact of all media placements and mentions across the fashion, luxury, and beauty industries. In the report, she generated $1.2 million in MIV at Paris Fashion Week and $1.4 million in MIV at Milan Fashion Week.
