In case anyone would need reminding, Heart Evangelista’s body is hers, and hers alone.
In a TikTok video featuring the actress, a number of users have made inappropriate comments about how Heart is “wasting” her body by not getting pregnant. One comment reads, “Wala din yan kung hindi kayang magbuntis,” pointing out how the endorser has not bore children with her husband, Chiz Escudero. Screenshots of the lewd comments have been collated into a tweet by Twitter user @irisvicencio.

Heart has since responded to such comments, tweeting “Ok na sana lahat. Stop telling me to get pregnant unless you really want to hurt me. Nobody knows the real struggle.” Notably, Heart unfortunately suffered a miscarriage back in June 2018.

In a recent interview on Karen Davila’s YouTube channel, Heart has stated that she’s still open to the possibility of having kids with Chiz. She emphasizes that the unsolicited comments social media users have made about her miscarriage in the past we’re “horrible” and “painful,” yet she has since then become immune to such lambasting.
Despite this, Heart continues, saying, “Life is good, people I love are fine and everything else in between is ok, so bonus na lang if I do conceive again.” “It’s my body,” she strongly concludes her tweet.
With children of her own or not, Heart also assures onlookers that she is happy and grateful for her life now. “I’m not mad, just furious [about] how people think na need mo magkaanak para maging masaya,” she exclaims in a follow up tweet. She wraps things up, saying “tama na ang pressure."

Heart decided to close the debacle on a lighthearted note, acknowledging that she in fact does not have a perfect life. She quips that only her dog Panda does.

Heart continues to look at the positive side of life, and posts a video of her husband Chiz working out, remarking “Buti nalang cute ng asawa ko.”
