Like many people, Heart Evangelista has dove head first into the social media pothole that is TikTok. On the app, the 36-year-old star dubs giggle-worthy viral sounds and takes us through the ins and outs of her everyday life. Just earlier today she posted this lighthearted video of her "practicing how to be a mom."
Obviously, the TikTok was made purely for Heart's amusement, but one user posed a question that she's, quite frankly, tired of hearing.
"[Bakit] 'di kayo magkaanak," the comment says. Heart has been subject to a lot of pressure from the public to conceive a child with her husband, Gov. Chiz Escudero. She's previously made it clear that for her, having kids isn't, and shouldn't be a prerequisite to one's happiness.
To this comment, she unabashedly remarks, "Ayoko eh." She places text on the video that reads "Kulit ha. Chill. Not your uterus." Heart reiterates that she isn't sad at all about not having kids, and that becoming a mom isn't necessarily going to be her only source of joy.
Notably, the actress unfortunately suffered a miscarriage a couple years ago, and has since been recovering from such tragedy. In a follow up video, she declares that, "If before, I allowed people to step on me and to bully me, then no, not anymore. Because I know what I went through. I know my worth. I know what's in my heart."
A supportive commenter wrote that "2022 made Heart palaban." In response, Heart says that, "If being palaban means being respectful to yourself and actually handling it with grace, but putting your foot down, well then yes." She closes things out, "I will not let you step on me!" with a smile.
You go, Heart!
