Adding to today’s sad news, Heart Evangelista shared on Instagram about the loss of the baby she was carrying.
“There are not enough words to express how heavy my heart feels but I know it’s important to share this because it’s part of my motherhood journey. At this week’s [doctor’s] appointment, just as we hit the 3 month mark, we found out that her heart stopped beating.”
The first trimester is a delicate period in a woman’s pregnancy. As Heart relayed in her post, “The doctor told me that there really wasn’t anything we could’ve done, that this happens to a higher percentage of first time moms.”
Last May, Heart revealed that she had actually been pregnant with twins, however, the smaller embryo fell behind in terms of development. In her post today, she remembers this saying “I take comfort knowing that you’re up there with your twin.”
Telltale in her writing is strength and choosing to take the positive route. She thanks those that have shared experiences and words of kindness, and expresses her own understanding of the circumstances. And as she bids her leave for time to mend, she reveals that she had already christened her would-be daughter: “For what it’s worth, I already had a name for you. My Mira, funnily enough, I already loved your smile. I know you’ll find your way back to me.”
