Here's How Much It Costs to Stay at Heart Evangelista's Favorite Mountain Lodge Near Baguio

If you’ve been on Heart Evangelista’s Instagram feed lately then you’ll know that she recently celebrated her birthday and wedding anniversary with Gov. Francis "Chiz" Escudero last month. The pair, along with their family, took their intimate festivities once again to the Cordillera Mountains where the socialite’s favorite getaway destination, the Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodges, is located.

An 82-hectare property that’s home to 300 opulent lodge-style log homes, this Mountain Lodge development, owned by the same company that runs Balesin Island Club, is situated at an elevated height of 5300 ft. above sea level. The site alone will have visitors experiencing the fragrant pine-scented mountain air and an endless vista of stunning views as far as the eye can see. It most definitely almost feels like heaven on earth, but we gotta say, this paradise does come with a hefty price tag.

Founded by business tycoon, Roberto Ongpin, Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodges, which opened last 2018, offers the same posh vibe of exclusivity as Balesin Island; and much like the former, gaining access to everything the property has to offer doesn’t come cheap.

Where is it located?

Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodges is located at Tocmo, Km. 9 Ambuklao Road, Itogon, Benguet. The road itself is fully paved and is just a 15-minute drive from Baguio City. Other than using your own private vehicle, you can also schedule an Alphaland aircraft or a chartered helicopter ride to save you from the hassle of such a long drive. 

Who can stay overnight and how much?

So here's the thing: The question isn't just how much it costs to stay at Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodges, but who can stay as well. Unfortunately, only Balesin Island Club members and the guests of Alphaland Baguio Mountain Lodges' Lodge homeowners are allowed to book a stay. They can opt to either rent a four-bedroom log home for P80,000++/night or a five-bedroom log home worth P100,000++/night, or they can choose to book a suite at the Clubhouse Inn for P24,500/night. That said, if you're really determined to spend your vacay days here, take note that Balesin Island's membership fee starts a P3 million.

How much does it cost to buy a home in Alphaland?

Here's another option: For this one, you better be prepared to shell out a huge sum. And by that, we mean millions. So how much do you need to truly live out the Crazy Rich Asian lifestyle that this place offers? 

To give you an overview, interested buyers can choose from three types of single family lodges, ranging from four- to six-bedroom homes.

4-Bedroom Furnished Lodge (400 sqm) - P55 million

5-Bedroom Furnished Lodge (450 sqm) - P60 million

6-Bedroom Furnished Lodge (500 sqm) - P65 million

Each log home is constructed from imported western cedar and Scandinavian pine logs. No matter what type of home you choose, you can expect your not-so-humble abode to come with a deck, a fireplace, fully-furnished Scandinavian-inspired interiors, a bathtub, a sauna, a wine chiller, chandeliers, wagon wheel ceiling-mounted light fixtures, and a decorative stuffed game head.

Quadruplex Lodges

If you’d rather not purchase an entire home all to yourself, Alphaland is currently in the process of building quadruplex lodges, which will contain two to three-bedroom units. These fully furnished cabins can cost you P30 million to P36 million.

Other Services and Amenities

Of course, this side of paradise has more to offer than just luxurious log cabins. The upscale development comes with a multi-purpose Mini Sports Center, aviation services, a chapel, a Flower Nursery Area, and a commercial center with Baguio’s best shops and restaurants, to be constructed on the main Ambuklao Road.

Lastly, there’s also their main “common area” named the Clubhouse Inn. This three-level inn consists of a grand fireplace, a karaoke room, outdoor and indoor dining areas, and 12 room suites, all while overlooking the breathtaking mountain views of Baguio City.
