In just a few months—August, to be exact—it will have been 20 years since the world lost Princess Diana in that harrowing Paris car crash. Pioneering the lead-up to her death anniversary, HBO has announced plans to air an authorized documentary of her life. The most interesting bit? It's going to be told largely through the viewpoint of her sons, Prince William and Prince Harry!
“This film will show Princess Diana in a way she has never been seen before, through the eyes of the two people who knew her best,” executive producer Nick Kent told The Hollywood Reporter. The doc is also set to highlight Diana’s extensive humanitarian work (including her fight against land mines, homelessness, and AIDS) and feature interviews with many more friends and family members—some of whom have never even spoken publicly about her before.
There's no exact release date yet, but according to THR, this much-anticipated documentary will be broadcast on HBO and ITV later this year. We can't wait to find out who'll bag the roles!
