There are many ways you can take that much-needed change of scenery: You can take a road trip to the different al fresco cafes in Laguna or you can marvel at the beautiful view from Rizal's cafes and restaurants. But if you don't have the time to go out of the city (and possibly endure hours of traffic), we found a new cafe just within the metro where you can enjoy some coffee and spend your downtime.

Granville is the latest cafe to open in San Juan, which officially opened its doors on December 17, 2020! This coffee shop is all sorts of cozy with its wooden and brick walls, bright-colored furniture, and the warm lighting that fills the space as the night falls. It also has a chic stadium-style seating as their communal area.
If you're more comfortable with outdoor dining, they also have an outdoor dining area that leads to a wide-open space beneath garden lights. Perfect for socializing with friends from a distance!

Yes, the ambiance is most definitely inviting, but one shouldn't leave without trying their food and drinks! They brew classic coffee beverages such as Long Black (P130), Caffe Latte (P155), Soy Latte (P175), Flat White (P165), Cappuccino (P155), Cortado (P145), Piccolo (P145), Mocha (P175), and Hot Chocolate (P155). But if you plan to stay a little longer, they also have local craft beer from Nipa Brew (P195 or P215), imported Belgian beers (from P215 to P275), and wine (P2,000) on the menu.

For those avoiding alcohol and coffee, they have House Speciality Drinks like Apple Iced Tea (P125), Ginger Lemon Soda (P125), and Calamansi Pandan Cooler (P130). Their Kombucha flavors include Raspberry Lemonade (P175), Apple Crisp (P175), and Peach (P175).
If you're the type to enjoy appetizers before the main dish, you can start off with Granville's Fattoush Salad (P270 or P390), Truffle Potato Wedges (P198), Mussels and Chorizo (P437), or Tomato Soup (P145).

When you're ready for the heftier main meals, they have Grilled Salmon with Mango Salsa (P535), USDA Ribeye Steak (P650), Roasted Pork Cutlet with Apple Sauce (P350), and Vegetable Shakshuka (P300). If pasta is more your thing, you can choose between the Wild Mushroom Truffle Cream (P320 or P480), Squid Ink (P345 or P520), and Sea Urchin (P355 or P535). According to their social media post, the noodles are freshly made by their chefs!
The sandwich menu includes Chicken Melt in Flat Bread with Tomato Salsa (P295), Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Tomato Soup (P350), Grilled Vegetable Bruschetta (P300), and Hokkaido Toasted Chocolate Bread with Raspberry (P315). For dessert, you can try their Soft Serve Soy Ice Cream (P120) or their Affogato Soy Ice Cream (P190).
Granville is located at 189 A. Mabini Street, San Juan, Mandaluyong City.
