During the pandemic’s first onslaught, “cottagecore” trickled onto Pinterest boards everywhere. When the bustling, fast-paced ways of life seemed too much, people turned to daydream of pastoral landscapes and prairie dresses, where things, at least in their eyes, looked a little simpler.
Alongside her husband, Mashie Pacula, the owner of Nasugbu, Batangas rental Gracia Viviente, had a similar story. “We discovered that we love and enjoy planting and living in a farmhouse,” she said. “Come June 2021, a few days before my birthday, we decided to look for an available lot in Nasugbu. Luckily, we found this overlooking property and decided to purchase it.”
The 1,200-square meter lot tucked in the Batangas municipality overlooks the beach skyline and offers magnificent views of Mt. Batulao and Mt. Talamitam. Amid its wide and open lush green space, the American farmhouse-inspired residence might be exactly what’s sought by cottagecore enthusiasts—or anyone looking for a much-deserved escape.
What to expect at Gracia Viviente, an American farmhouse-inspired rental in Nasugbu, Batangas
With a maximum of 16 people, guests will definitely get some good shut-eye, starting from the master bedroom which houses a queen size and a double pullout bed.
Aside from that, Gracia Viviente has a guest room and a bunk bedroom that can accommodate up to eight persons, with two queen sized-beds and two double-sized beds. A sliding wooden barn door also leads to the luxurious marble-walled bathrooms.
Upon entering the house’s large farmhouse doors, visitors will spot plenty of cozy nooks and seating areas for them to kick their feet up after their drive down Nasugbu.
For culinary enthusiasts, the residence has two kitchens where they can work their magic: the indoor and open kitchen, which both have fully-equipped cooking tools, a quality griller, and dinnerware.
The little ones won’t be bored, either. Outside, a life-size kid’s playhouse awaits youngins—they can even play in the lot’s spacious garden and playground!
While the indoors are cozy to a T, the lot’s outdoors is an unmissable sight to behold. The overlooking swimming pool offers a sweet view of the surrounding mountains, complete with relaxing lounges and bean bags.
If movie marathons are more up their speed, visitors can channel their inner cinephile with splendid sights to boot. The lot includes an outdoor movie area, set up with a Netflix- and Youtube-provided smart projector.
And the best way to cap off the night? With a calming fireside chat in front of their fire pit, of course.
Interested travelers and staycation-ers can book Gracia Viviente for P18,000/a night during weekdays, P20,000/a night during weekends (Friday to Sunday), and P25,000/a night during holidays. Included in the headcount are employees of the guests, while children under five years old are excluded from the count and exempt from the charges.
