When glamping as an accommodation option picked up in the early 2010s, it seems that this luxurious camping trend never lost its popularity. Existing resorts started putting up tents of different shapes and sizes, while smaller enterprises got into the business of glamping and thrived. Take for example Kalika Balayan in Batangas, a new glamping resort that opened its doors (or, in this case, tents) in January.
Where to Go Glamping in Batangas: Kalika Balayan
One thing to note about Kalika Balayan is that it has plenty of outdoor space where you can just enjoy the cool breeze coming from nearby mountains or hang out under the shade of a tree. There are also open-air roofed spaces, which have plenty of comfortable couches and rattan chairs.

Standard accommodation (P3,800 on weekdays and P4,000 on weekends) includes a four-diameter bell tent on a platform with a queen-sized bed and fan. This can fit up to two people. You can upgrade and go for the semi-deluxe (P4,200 to P4,500), which comes with air-conditioning; or the deluxe (P5,000 to P5,300), which has a hot tub. Or you can go all out and go for the premium accommodation (P9,500 to P9,800) to fit up to six people in a big bell tent with two queen-sized beds. It also has air-conditioning, additional fans, and a hot tub.

Check-in time is at 3 p.m. while check-out is at 1 p.m. To book a tent, you need to pay in full through BDO, GCash, PayMaya, or Paypal.
Kalika Balayan is along Balibago Road, Barangay Tanggoy, Balayan, Batangas. Rates start at P3,800. For more information, follow Kalika Balayan on Facebook.
