"Our interest is only in money. We don't need your account," the hacker wrote Glaiza.

Glaiza de Castro found herself in a stressful predicament last night after finding out that her Instagram account had been hacked. The actress expressed her confusion on her Twitter account hours ago, revealing what had happened.

Glaiza’s followers were eager to suggest solutions, of course, but to no avail. “Pag kini-click ko yung secure account, nag-e-error,” she wrote on her next Tweet.

An hour later, the GMA-7 star disclosed that she’d been exchanging emails with the hacker, who, as it turns out, is demanding ransom money in exchange of her IG account—a whopping $335, to be exact. Yikes!

But that’s not all. It seems this isn’t the first time the culprit, dubbed Any Hirl through their emails, has done this disruptive act. As Glaiza’s fans have pointed out, London-based photography studio Still Miracle had written about the same hacker before on their website after their own IG account was compromised just last month.

Similar to Glaiza, the two parties involved began discussing the matter through email. “It’s perfectly safe and we haven’t touched it. We [will be] waiting for your reply [for] two hours! If you do not respond, we will start to clear your account (delete photos) and sell your account! We are waiting for your reply!” read Any Hirl’s message to Sill Miracle.

Having read the article, Glaiza tweeted another screenshot, revealing that she had been sent the exact same threat. "Our interest is only in money. We don't need your account," the hacker wrote Glaiza. "We will restore it immediately after payment in 15 minutes. We will send you a log in password, and instructions on how to protect your account."

The actress didn't entertain the scam, of course. After hours of troubleshooting, Glaiza soon decided to call it a night on the hacker front and resolved to watching K-drama instead to ease her mind. “Try na muna nating mag chill, may mga tumutulong naman at sobrang nakaka bawas ng stress. Pero medyo nakaka praning lang. Kaya, manonood muna ako ng Eternal Monarch,” she tweeted. And honestly? Same.

Here's hoping she retrieves her IG account soon!
