It was the most joyous day in Dr. Amier Lopez's life as she walked down the aisle towards her husband-to-be, Dr. Mico Caritativo. Her mom and dad, who were beaming with as much happiness as she was, clutched her arms as they were about to give her away. With the click of a camera, that special moment between a daughter and her parents was forever memorialized.

As beautiful as this snapshot is for Amier, we have to admit that our attention almost automatically went to her mom, who was standing right beside her in a serpentine green gown. You can't deny how starkly the emerald hue stood out next to the bride's classic white ball gown and veil! The second the internet laid eyes on this photo, dozens of hilarious reactions started pouring in.

As it turns out, Amier was actually the one who picked out the dress for her mom. "Our designer, Francis Libiran, made a couple of sketches for my mom's gown [but] my mom couldn't choose," she tells Preview, "I recall jokingly asking Mr. Francis to put a long train on her gown. It's truly a masterpiece and seeing my mom wear it is just breathtaking."

Some netizens quipped that the dress reminded them of Sang'gre Alena, the water goddess in the Pinoy cult classic Encantadia.

Others pointed out how reminiscent the gown's silhouette and sultry cut-outs were of Miss Universe-Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez's signature look. The similarity in style makes sense since the designer of Bea's gowns for the international pageant was also Francis Libiran!

Many remarked that their own moms would also probably turn up to their weddings in the most extra looks.

As per Amier, she echoes all of the praises her mom is getting for her gown and how great she looked in their photo. "I felt super proud because that photo didn't only show a gorgeous woman in an equally beautiful gown, but also a strong, caring and loving mother," she states. She doesn't think her mom "stole the show" at all, and is nothing but delighted with all the compliments her mom is getting. For her, the photo symbolizes "the most special moment that [she] will cherish for the rest of [her] life."
Awww! Best wishes Amier and Mico!
