Love The Coopers

Love The Coopers may be a Christmas-themed movie (The premise starts on Christmas Eve and details how the family celebration blows up into a total mess), but it's a somewhat realistic reflection of how Christmas has evolved from your favorite holiday as a child to a family affair that gets less and less merry as the years go by. It's not all sad though as it also highlights how one navigates through familial relationships as an adult.

Legally Blonde

By now, Legally Blonde can be considered a classic and if you haven't watched it yet, take the time to do so and learn a thing or two from Elle Woods about pursuing what you're passionate about and not letting anyone tell you you're not cut out for it because you don't fit the mold.

Confessions Of A Shopaholic

Rebecca Bloomwood, a journalist, has a bit of a shopping addiction to the point where she gets buried in credit card debt. Although it's primarily a rom-com, the film has a few but precious life lessons about handling one's finances as an adult making their own money.

Someone Great

Jenny bags her dream job and is on her way to live in a different city for it. But at the same time, her long-time boyfriend breaks up with her. Her two best friends come to the rescue by taking a day off from work to attend a concert together one last time. The movie may be your typical rom-com but it also teaches you to value the right relationships in your lifeincluding the one you have with yourself.

La La Land

Aside from the performances in this romantic musical, the film shows the ups and downs of chasing career aspirations and navigating through relationships and illustrates a hard-to-swallow piece of real life: That even though you're supportive of each other's careers and hopes in life doesn't mean you'll be by each other's sides as you individually find the success you've been working hard for.
