The iOS 9.1 software update has dropped this week and it’s great news for fashion girls who are looking forward to upping their Instagram game! Whether you’re sunbathing at the beach or maxing out your credit card with all-day shopping, there’s a brand new emoji that’ll surely tickle your fancy.
After months of testing and teasing the general public at the same time, a total of 184 new emojis have finally been released. We repeat—184 new emojis to choose from! There’s a beach with umbrella (for your summer OOTDs), popcorn and hotdog (for movie night #foodstagrams), camera with flash (for your flawless #selfies), and a unicorn even (for everything je ne sais quoi).
Read on and see what we’re talking about.
More faces to represent many different emotions! Look at that sneaky spy. Hashtag #stalkermode.
New hand gestures are also available.
And for extreme #feels, you know what to do!
We bet these upgrades were especially made for our tropical country’s bipolar weather.
Wuhoo, a snowman! They’re no Olaf, but hey, we’re still sold.
From rainy days to beach season, now there’s an umbrella emoji fit for any occasion.
The animal kingdom has also expanded. New ones we’ve spotted include the lion, chipmunk, turkey, and—gasp—unicorn! We cry tears of joy.
This, by far, is my personal favorite. Hello there, robot!
Due to popular demand, iOS 9.1 now has the taco emoji accompanied by burrito, cheese, popcorn, hotdog sandwich and a bottle of bubbly. YASSS!!! And oh, in case you’re wondering where the bacon and avocado emojis went, you’d have to wait ‘til mid-2016 for those.
Going somewhere? There are additional 44 flags to support your #travelgoals.
You might want to use it with these, too.
Or if you want to keep your destinations private, how about opting for islands, mountains or deserts instead?
Good news, sports fanatics! Volleyball, ice hockey, cricket and table tennis emojis have arrived.
And because just the ball itself won’t cut it, human-looking emoji athletes are now available, too.
Various faiths and religions are also covered.
Popular new objects have made it to the upgrade. Can’t believe they’ve only thought of the shopping bags just now.
Plus, some old gadgets for your #throwbacks!
Speaking of gadgets, by the way, the personal computer emoji just got a facelift. Pretty neat, huh?
The symbols have been sorted out, too, based on color groups. Now it’s easier to find which emoji you’re looking for.
