It looks like Netflix’s K-drama initiative has gone full speed ahead as they continue to drop one original series after the other, and we’re definitely not complaining. Next up on their list is D.P., a webtoon-based action drama that delves into the issues prevalent within the the Korean military. Netflix explains, “D.P. is an acronym for 'Deserter Pursuit,' a unit within the Army's Military Police for tracking down AWOL soldiers.”

Dying to know more? Below, we list down all the info that we’ve gathered about the show so far.

The Cast

First up, let’s talk casting. At the forefront of the series is Something in the Rain star Jung Hae In who’s set to play An Jun-ho, an army private assigned to the D.P. unit. Joining him in the main cast are Koo Kyo Hwan (Peninsula, Jane), Kim Sung Kyun (The Fiery Priest, Reply 1994), and Son Suk Ku (Sense8, Mother, Be Melodramatic).

The Plot

As mentioned above, D.P. will center on army private An Jun-ho as he unexpectedly becomes a desertion arrest officer. Hesitant about his new title, the young soldier constantly ends up in confusing and complicated situations. Accompanying him in his job is Corporal Han Ho-yeol (Kyo Hwan), an ill tempered free spirit who’ll be providing his amateur recruit with some much-needed investigation know-how.

Meanwhile, Sung Kyun is D.P. Unit Chief Park Beom-gu, “an experienced and capable leader who always looks out for them.” Last but no the least is First Lieutenant Im Ji-seop (Suk Ku), an elite graduate of the Korea Military Academy and the Commander of the Military Police.
